These use today's date in your Australian time zone (Sydney time if your device is set to another zone). A due date on a weekend moves to the Monday. Public holidays differ by state and territory and are not known here, so if the day shown is a public holiday where you are, you have until the next business day. Check the date printed on your own BAS too.

Good to know

Lodging online, paying late and annual returns.

If you lodge online you may be eligible for an extra 2 weeks to lodge and pay your quarterly BAS, and you may get extra time if you lodge through a registered tax or BAS agent. A later date does not apply to Quarter 2 because its due date already includes a one-month extension.

  • Pay in full and on time to avoid general interest charge (GIC).
  • The ATO app can set calendar reminders for lodgment dates.
  • If you can't pay on time, contact the ATO or your tax professional before the due date. If you owe $200,000 or less you may be able to set up a payment plan online.
  • Businesses that are voluntarily registered for GST with GST turnover under $75,000 ($150,000 for non-profits) lodge an annual GST return, due 31 October (or 28 February if they are not required to lodge a tax return then).

This page lists the dates for 2026-27 only. When the last of them has passed it says so rather than guessing the next year's dates.
